WIDE FORMAT SCANNING
Our wide-format colour scanner incorporates the latest in imaging technology for high-quality full colour scanning and copying. Its full A0 Plus size imaging area, handles large colour posters, architectural sketches, detailed maps, drawings and fine art.
Plans and Large Format Documents
Drawings in their own right are extremely cumbersome to file and copy but ‘pre CAD’ drawings still need to be archived in some way.
Over 5000 large drawings can be archived onto a single CD-ROM and in many cases creases, stains and other ‘defects’ can be removed in the scanning process giving a pure white background and clean crisp lines.
Once scanned drawings can be loaded as a backdrop into CAD systems or even converted into a fully structured CAD file in AutoCAD, Microstation or other format.
Large Sizes Handled Our large format scanners can cope with drawings of up to 90cm wide and any length.
Full Colour Facilities We can also scan full colour maps and drawings in up to 24bits (16+ Million colours).
File formats supplied are usually TIF Group 4 compressed files at 400dpi but we can supply CALS, PDF, GIF, JPG and pretty much any other format up to 1,200 dpi.
The scanners we use are amongst the fastest and most sophisticated on the market.
All of our images are carefully monitored during the scanning process to arrive at the cleanest possible results and each image is then individually inspected prior to final release.
Fine Art Reproduction
With our on-site scanners and printers we are able to copy and reproduce your artwork with a very high level of accuracy.
Scanning Our wide format scanner is able to produce very high quality reproductions of your Art work. We can produce scans at up to 9,600 DPI.
Giclee Printing Giclee printing is a sophisticated form of inkjet printing, which offers an affordable way of reproducing your artwork.
Output on our Wide Format machines can be printed in either Pigment Inks or Dye Inks, UV or non UV. If you are going to be displaying your prints in direct sunlight, or for an extended period of time then you should request Pigment inks. Pigment Inks are designed to be UV stable and under the right conditions can last in excess of 100 years. Dye inks have the best colour gamut (can reproduce more colours) but can't be hung in direct sunlight without rapid fading. Printing with Dye Inks is a cheaper option if your prints are only to be displayed for a short period of time, or you plan to protect the prints with a UV blocking coating (eg a UV Laminate).
We can print on various stocks, including gloss, synthetic satin, matt paper, canvas and vinal. If you need your job printed on something else, just let us know and we can probably source it from one of our many paper supply merchants.
